Headstock of Jazz cutaway model
Purflings
These subtle and unique purfling strips were developed to blend with the colours and style of the rest of the instrument.
"Cosmic" themed rosette
This unique rosette uses a range of materials including abalone shell and white gold!
Decorated tie-block
The decoration on this rosewood bridge echoes the "cosmic" theme of the rosette in the next picture.
Decorative head veneer
This headstock has a beautiful, bookmatched amazaque veneer, finished with French polish.
Flamenco blanca
A French-polished, cypress-bodied flamenco blanca.
Peg Hed tuners
Flamencos (or any instrument) can be fitted with peghed tuners. They look like traditional wood pegs but are internally geared and are made from light alloy. Excellent!
A unique hand-made rosette
A rosette from various woods including walnut, box, holly and ebony.
Spruce-topped classical
This guitar uses bridge-beads to secure the strings - a neat and practical solution!
Heel detail
Indian rosewood back and sides meet a Spanish mahogany neck with integral heel-cap.
Claro Walnut
Claro walnut can have some wonderful colours and patterns as well as providing a rich, warm tone.
Armrest
This instrument has a walnut armrest to give a more comfortable radius on the lower bout.
Cutaway
My cutaway design derives from a true classical plan with just a modest, elegant cutaway.
Cutaway
The sides are faired into the heel to avoid ugly steps or over-wide and heavy heel sections.
French Polish
My favoured finish is with traditional French Polish. This classical guitar looks terrific with FP on pearwood.
